Oneworld is one of the three largest global airline alliances in the world. Comprised of 11 full member airlines and 19 affiliates, the alliance offers service to 819 airports in 142 countries. Out of its 11 full member airlines, 7 currently serve LAX and 6 fly out from the Tom Bradley International Terminal (TBIT). If you are a first or business class passenger flying out of LAX on British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines, LAN, Mexicana or Qantas then you have access to the Oneworld Lounge at TBIT.
The lounge is a wonderful respite from the loudness and crowdedness of the TBIT gate areas. Broken up into two sections, one each for first and business class passengers respectively, the facility includes 9 showers, a bar, several lounge areas with plasma tv's, and an internet-cafe style area with PC's. Passengers are treated to complimentary drinks and a buffet, free wifi access throughout, and a large variety of magazines and newspapers. The first class lounge offers the same amenities as the business class one, but in a more personalize service.
If you're every flying in a premium class on a Oneworld airline that utilizes TBIT at LAX, don't forget to drop by the lounge. It's a nice place to spend some time before your flight, and a perk not to be missed. Below, a few pictures taken during a recent evening in the business class section of the lounge.
